Detial Itinerary
Tour Start - 8.00am (flexible time)
Morning: recommend to start 8.00am (flexible time) after having breakfast, pick up from your hotel in Siem Reap and travel by A/C vehicle to purchase the temples ticket. We first go to the brick and laterite stone charming temple of Pre Rup, one of the few remaining complete structures in the complex. Continue to the intricate, pink-colored temple of Banteay Srei known as a “precious gem”, or the “jewel of Khmer art”, thought by many to be the work of the women of the Khmer Empire, marvel at the ornate carvings on the tiny temples.
Next, stop and highlight by the famous village along the way, and learn how to the local people produce Sugar Palm
Enjoy a short rest and an optional lunch meal at the restaurant and the temple (your own payment).
Continue your aternoon with exploring the unique temples, all mostly built at the same periods the end of the 12th century during the reign of the King Jayavarman VII. The temple of Ta Som was enveloped by a large ficus tree at the East Gopura III, it’s easy to understand how nature and buildings can be hard to separate throughout the Park, Neak Pean was originally built for medical purposes and the unique design with four pools and each represent Water, Earth, Fire and Wind, connected to the central main pool water source, the Mahayana Buddhist temple was stood on the circuit artificial island, and adorn by sculptures of snakes (Nāga) running around the base of the temple structure. Last but not least the Preah Khan temple is a must-visit in this tour due to its unique blend of architectural beauty, historical significance, it stands as a testament to the Khmer empire’s architectural prowess, with its intricate carvings, and the way nature has reclaimed parts of the complex.
