Here, the houses are on stilts 8 to 10 meters high, to accommodate for the seasonal variations in water level, and further out on the Tonle Sap itself, houses are built on pontoons, creating floating villages, it’s a spectacular sight. This floating village is not only an important fishing area but also a charismatic tourist destination.
