Morning: (We start our tour early morning your tour guide and driver will be waiting for welcome you at your hotel lobby)
- Sunrise of Angkor Wat Temple
We departure (4.45 to 5am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise over Angkor Wat, and unlock the great temple in darkness. We then explore the interior of the great temple, your expert local guide will descript the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. We end our tour at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel), and a short rest.
- South Gate of Angkor Thom
This majestic gate once served as the Khmer Empire’s glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider and imagine grandiosity before venturing inside the city. South gate of Angkor Thom along with a bridge of statues of gods and demons. Two rows of figures each carry the body of seven-headed naga.
- Bayon Temple
A richly decorated Khmer temple related to Buddhism at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the state temple of the King Jayavarman VII. the Bayon stands at the center of Jayavarman’s capital, Angkor Thom
- Baphuon Temple
Built in the mid-11th century, it is a three-tiered temple mountain, built as the state temple of Suryavarman I dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, then later converted to Theravada Buddhist and added of the big reclining Buddha on wall.
- Phimeanakas or Vimeanakas Temple
Built at the end of the 10th century, during the reign of Rajendravarman (from 941 to 968), then completed by Suryavarman I in the shape of a three tier pyramid as a Hindu temple.
- Terrace of the Elephants
The 350m-long Terrace of Elephants was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall.
- Terrace of the Leper King
The Terrace of the Leper King (or Leper King Terrace) is located in the northwest corner of the Royal Square of Angkor Thom
Afternoon: (Relax for lunch, you tour guide will escort you to the local restaurant that was recommended by our value customer. After lunch we continue to explore the jungle ruin temple of Ta Prohm).
- Ta Prohm Temple
The temple was built without mortar and, after it was abandoned, trees took root in the loosened stones. The trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of the most popular temples with visitors to the area. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1992.
Return to your hotel after a long but fulfilling day, which will leave you with a lifetime of memories of one of the wonders of the world.
