To avoid crowed we start our tour from Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world, was originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture, it has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country’s prime attraction for visitors. Then the unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm is in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples with visitors. Afterwards walk (500m) along path on the Wall of Angkor Thom from the Victory Gate to the Death Gate. Before the Bayon the most distinctive feature is the multitude of serene and smiling stone faces on the many towers which just out from the upper terrace and cluster around its central peak. The temple is known also for two impressive sets of bas-reliefs, which present an unusual combination of mythological, historical, and mundane scenes.

About 2 hours before the tour, my partner and I managed to book it so very last minute. We were picked up punctually from our hotel by our guide (and driver) and were delighted to find that there weren't any other people on our tour so we had a 2 full days on our own with the guide, Bunna. We did this tour in May which was EXTREMELY hot and I would recommend choosing a different month to do the tour if possible. That said, we were provided with cold water throughout the day by the guide. This 2 day tour was amazing in terms of the number of temples we managed to see. Each had their own charm and differences. The lunches provided were very good. 2 or 3 days is what I would recommend. 1 day and you just scratch the surface. We did the sunrise view at Angkor Wat which was nice but not essential. There are so many people there at that time. We actually watched the sunrise from the water across from the temple. We had a great experience on this tour so highly recommend it.
Neang and Rady, the driver, did an excellent job. They were punctual and knowledgeable. Neang added in an extra bonus of a dinner (Dance Show). The lunches and one dinner were good. He provided iced bottled water and cold wraps to cool down with. The car was air con! Highly recommend him!
